BSE is a queer black woman owned theatre networking platform and consulting firm that provides educational resources for theatre careers and fosters the communal growth of the BIPOC theatre maker community.
We highlight and promote the achievements of Black theatre makers on and off the stage. Our interviews are called BSE Talks.
We directly consult with organizations and businesses who make programs that target BIPOC theatre makers in an effort to address the racism and levels of access inequity within the theatre industry.
We have a blog called Run the Deck that we post theatre reviews, reflections and thoughts on the current climate of the theatre industry.
Black Stage Everything aims to be the #1 networking platform and directory made for and by BIPOC theatre makers in the nation. We advocate for employment access, fair pay practices and supports DEIJA initiatives within the theatre industry.
BSE aims to be the #1 site that distributes literature on entering theatre careers, while providing a gateway for BIPOC theatre opportunities and promotes a vast network of black theatre makers. BSE will become the place where BIPOC and non-BIPOC theatre folks come to find, hire and network with other Black theatremakers. With the birth of BSE, we aim to solve the problem of not knowing where to find diverse BIPOC talent within the field.
We will pursue our mission through partnerships with theatres, educational institutions, businesses, union and non-union members, and freelance artists alike.
